Is age just a number?
Now we have lots of family birthdays (including mine) in the first 7 months of the year, and this was the conversation between GS#1, GS#3, Abi & I, around this time, last year.
GS#3: Iām a big boy. I’m 4 years old already.
GS#1: Iām ‘bigger’ that you. I’m 6 years old. But you are ‘bigger’ than me, right Abi? How old are you?
Abi: Guess.
So the boys counted all the way from 6 to 22, to cries of well done & great! And then came the inevitable question: How old are you Gaga?
Me: Guess (waiting in anticipation for the long count…)
GS#3 (with no hesitation at all): I know! You are one hundred years old!!
Wow! That certainly popped my balloon real fast, folks! š And here I thought I was the youngest, coolest gaga on the planet!!
So is age just a number? It must be, ‘coz there are times when I’ve had to catch myself from saying “37” when asked my age (truly embarrassing!) – and there are times when I feel 100!! Especially when I fall into bed exhausted after a day with my 4 lil fellas! š
