Climbing trees 60th birthday celebrations with my family, near and far Visits to parks, spray parks and sunflower fields Sleepovers & lazy days Family dinners Impromptu late evening soccer games And the cherry on the cake… three whole weeks with my 92-year-old dad, who travelled from Calgary to celebrate this special birthday with me. This kind of summer sums up my life. You see, simple pleasures give me the greatest joy. Is age just a number?
Now we have lots of family birthdays (including mine) in the first 7 months of the year, and this was the conversation between GS#1, GS#3, Abi & I, around this time, last year. GS#3: I’m a big boy. I’m 4 years old already. GS#1: I’m ‘bigger’ that you. I’m 6 years old. But you are ‘bigger’ than me, right Abi? How old are you? Abi: Guess.
